The City of New Castle Public Works Department is seeking 4 motivated individuals with a valid CDL (Class A or B) to join our team of Laborers. Responsibilities:
- Operate a variety of City-owned vehicles, including trucks, dump trucks, and equipment trailers.
- Perform manual labor tasks such as loading and unloading materials, setting up barricades, and assisting with construction projects.
- Maintain City property and infrastructure, including cleaning streets, parks, and buildings.
- Respond to emergency callouts as needed, based on seniority.
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL (Class A or B) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform physical labor tasks outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
