Adopt a Spot

Downtown New Castle has a beautiful landscape and amazing volunteers who, together with the City of New Castle, help create and maintain a vibrant, clean, and welcoming atmosphere for all who visit.

Adopt-a-Spot opportunities increase the capacity to get things done by gathering many hands that make light work! Whether you are an individual, family, organization, or business looking to give back, New Castle’s Adopt-a-Spot project has a spot for you. This can include planting, weeding, raking, picking up litter, and more… and the best part is, you can do it on your own schedule!

Adopt-a-Spot volunteers and organizations are asked to help maintain the chosen area for one growing season: roughly May – October, and will be recognized on a sign posted in their ‘spot’ and listed on the City’s website as a ‘Sponsor or Supporter’.
