City Officials will discuss plans to expend the stormwater system proceeds and elicit public feedback

On Friday, May 14, 2021, at Lincoln Garfield School on Long Avenue from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm, City Officials will be announcing plans to expend the proceeds from the sale of the stormwater system and elicit citizen feedback.

This event aims to promote financial transparency and offer citizen participation in the decision to expend proceeds from the stormwater system sale. City officials will discuss how this funding will aid in combating blight, improve long-awaited infrastructure and stormwater problems, fund annual paving projects, support community and economic opportunities. “The proceeds from the sale of the Stormwater system will allow us to produce tangible results for the citizens of New Castle. This funding opportunity will show residents and stakeholders that City Official are working together to address the most pressing needs of our community and using taxpayer dollars responsibly,” says Mayor Frye.

Following the event, the Mayor, City Council members, and City staff will answer questions from the media and residents.
