The PA Downtown Center was recently awarded a USDA Rural Placemaking Innovation Challenge grant to work with designated Blueprint Communities to update their revitalization strategies. Over the next 18 months, the New Castle Blueprint Communities Council, in partnership with New Visions for Lawrence County, will be working with the City of New Castle and other community partners to develop a collaborative work plan for the downtown and neighborhoods that includes improving community perceptions, organizational capacity, effective communication, volunteerism, and support of revitalization efforts.
As a member of the New Castle Blueprint Communities Council, I invite you to participate in the Current Perceptions Survey to establish a baseline for improving community perceptions. I was able to complete mine in approx. 5 minutes. You will find the link here:
