Citywide Development Corporation awarded 60k in funding from Neighborhood Assistance Program

New Castle, PA – The Citywide Development Corporation (CDC) was one of several recipients allotted funding from Governor Wolf’s recent approval of $36 million in funding by way of the Neighborhood Assistance Program.

For years, the Neighborhood Assistance Program has provided the necessary wherewithal for so many communities across the Keystone State. In exchange for tax credits, the program encourages capital donations into distressed communities from Private Sector investors. This funding was made possible through the investment of two local companies: Holistic Industries (50k) and First National Bank (10K). As a result, each business will receive a tax credit for their investment. These dollars will aid the CDC to foster Economic Development and growth in the region.

“On behalf of the CDC and the City of New Castle, we are deeply appreciative of the Governor’s commitment to community revitalization projects across the Commonwealth. Additionally, I would like to commend both Holistic Industries and First National Bank for their commitment and dedication to our City. This injection of capital into our community supports our on-going efforts to jumpstart our local economy.” said Mayor Frye.
