Fire Department

The New Castle Fire Department is staffed by full time professional firefighters, including Pennsylvania State Certified Paramedics and Pennsylvania State Certified Emergency Medical Technicians.  All personnel are certified in Professional Rescuer CPR and use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for responses to cardiac arrests.  The Department is also QRS (Quick Response Service) certified by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

The New Castle Fire Department, along with providing fire suppression, also provides treatment for trauma and medical emergencies, vehicle extrication, rope rescue, and water rescue.  The Department has an air supply trailer used to resupply air bottles for SCBA's at fire scenes.

The New Castle Fire Department conducts fire and safety classes along with business and in-home fire drills and inspections.

Fire stations are manned 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to service the citizens and businesses of New Castle.

The New Castle Fire Department has two fire stations, three fire engines, one aerial platform truck (100'), one grass fire truck, one Fire Chief response vehicle, and one assistant chief response vehicle.
